Lilac-breasted Roller
The National Bird of Kenya is the Lilac-breasted Roller featured in this write up. Some of the most incredible and colorful birds can be found in Kenya with over 1,150 confirmed species as of 2022. Of these 11 are endemic (found only in specific regions) and 4 have been introduced by humans through import. Birds are graceful and exquisite to watch. It is impossible to describe each species in this blog, however, I have provided the wikipedia link below that will. Another way to discover individual information is to take a picture with your phone, open google photos and tap on the third icon at the bottom of the screen. This will study the image and provide the name, several photos plus other notable facts.
